Have you considered Working with a health coach to reclaim your healthy self?

Recently there has been a lot of buzz around Wellness Coaching. So what is all the noise about this new craze? Quite simply, our nation is very unhealthy, we are grossly over weight, take lots of medications, and keep driving the cost of healthcare higher. As employers, doctors, and insurance companies search for ways to decrease costs, the last resort seems to be “teach healthier life styles to those who are in need”.

As a retired nurse who worked in HC for many years, and also as a researcher for cardiovascular disease prevention, I can say “it’s about time we put our attention on our intention to reduce healthcare costs by becoming a healthier nation!!” We have known the risk factors for over 30 years but fast life styles, fast food, and fast profits in the corporate sector prevented us from being conscious about the outcomes of ignoring our health as individuals. If you read Dr. Peter Weiss’ new book, “more health, less care” you will see the perfect scenario explained as to why we have chosen illness over health. “Supersize it” has super sized our illnesses, our medical bills, and our country’s poor report card on health.

Our culture has literally bought into the idea that more food is best at the lowest price, highest calorie, highest fat, refined flours and sugars that cost less to manufacture. Claiming it gives us the “home cooked meal” we crave from a buffet. Unfortunately the only home cooked meal IS cooked at home from wholesome ingredients or purchased in a health food store at a high price. Caution also, “wholesome” can also be high calorie, high fat if not prepared from a low fat, low calorie process.

It’s not easy to be healthy…..but is it easier to be sick???

Unfortunately it has all caught up to us, as the US ranks high in the world for obesity, for both adults and children. The triad of diseases resulting from our unhealthy choices begins often with obesity. Then arrives high blood pressure, high cholesterol, high blood sugar leading to heart disease, diabetes, and kidney disease. Once on this dowward slippery slope, it can be difficult to overcome, BUT IT IS POSSIBLE.

This is not how our bodies were designed to work. We have become dependent on the idea that “the pill” or “the doctor” can fix it, without making any life style changes…like exercise, proper diet, rest, and social engagement.

Why coaching makes such a difference in success

Perhaps the greatest difficulty of making life style changes is the mental aspect of making it work. Most people do not believe they can make it happen because of habits, beliefs, and previous failures.
Working with a certified coach who is also trained in nutrition, fitness, and health can give you the extra edge you need to succeed. Coaches are “mindset masters” teaching you skills in how to think, how your brain can start working for you, rather than against you. Like in “The Secret” and Anthony Robbins programs, mind over matter works when you know how to use these skills.

I am currently working with clients who have serious health risks due to the risk factors mentioned above. We see great improvement in their weight management, through physical activity, dietary choices and keeping the positive attitudes and approaches taught by me as their coach.

Is it time to do it differently? You bet!!

How it works:

Engaging a certified coach who is qualified to work as a wellness or healthcare professional, you will experience the following to take charge of your health, your healthcare decisions, and your ability to be in control.

Assessment of your current status, including medications, diagnosis, and nutritional status.

Determination of what is most important to focus attention on first.

Possible consult with your doctor or healthcare provider to engage their participation in your quest for wellness.

Partner with you to design actions that you will take to begin changing your life style choices on a daily basis.

Referrals to appropriate other wellness experts for alternative healthy options if necessary.

Continuous assessment, support, guidance and celebration of any small sweet success.

What is more interesting and important to you?

A. Continuing on a path of less health and more expense, more doctors and pills, less flexibility and fun?

OR

B. Regaining control of your body, your health, and your life through making conscious choices based on knowledge and scientific proof to increase your success of living your most magnificent life?

FACT: Without your health, your other options in life are limited. If you choose option B you are on your way to health! The most courageous choice for conscious action to regain your healthy self!

Why not consider a coach? Now that’s courageous!!

Thank you Patricia for a fun conversation on my favorite topic (Saving Our Inner Tortoise) for my favorite audience (the ever-striving and burned out) with my favorite fellow MCC and now radio show host… That’s YOU Patricia! As always you and I got into the most interesting of conversations about helping ourselves and others get out of our own way to have a life we are more and more pleased with. I so appreciate and admire YOUR commitment to getting the word out about coaching’s benefits and responsibilities. I am proud to be a fellow master level coach and friend of yours. – Carol Courcy, MCC

At this most magical time of year we think of our loved ones, both near and far, and of those with whom we only communicate at this time of year. As the year is ending, we look forward to the New Year beginning, with renewed hope and cheer.

It is a time for pause, for peace, for blessings, and for reflection of the year as it closes. Paying attention to those things that worked out well for us, and noticing those things that did not. Thinking ahead to the New Year and deciding how we might approach things differently to achieve a different, more positive outcome.

In recent days, our country has suffered another great tragedy. Only last month I wrote about our need to reach out to the victims of Sandy, and now we are all reaching into our hearts and pockets for the victims of the Sandy Hook School shooting. We live in troubling times, and yet we have our faith, our commitment and our resolve to overcome the worst of times.

The Mayan Calendar ends tomorrow on December 21, 2012. And while many have mistaken it for “the ending”, the Mayans see it as “the beginning” of a new era, a new Butan where all new wisdom, enlightenment, and progress will abound. The fear-based thinking evident in the proclamation for the world’s ending is the same thinking that divides our country on many issues.

I choose the positive view, of both the Mayan predictions, and our ability as a Nation to overcome our challenges, acting in brotherhood with one another. Let us ask ourselves the difficult questions necessary for us to advance as a civilization, rather than to turn our heads, and allow ourselves to decline.

History tells of the mighty ones before us, who were not able to give conscious thought to solving problems, but maintained their ways of greed, defiance, and self-preservation. When one of us falls, we all fall; when one of us is hungry or ill, we are all hungry or ill, for we are a Nation… formed One Nation Under God…..So might we be able to respect that “God” in fact is whomever or whatever definition a person might claim as their belief? Surely the right to religious freedom was the foundation of our Nation’s birth, and continues to be what draws people of all faiths and cultures to this great country called America.

As Christians enter the Christmas season, along with all other faiths and non-faiths, let us look deeply into our hearts to ask ourselves “are we willing to support the best decisions for the good of the whole, rather than the good of the few?” “Can we protect our children, our elderly, and our earth by sacrificing personal luxuries?”

I always like to ask myself, “What would Jesus do in this situation?” The answer is always quite clear. Our survival as a Nation and a civilization depends on our ability to make sacrifices for the good of the whole, not just from a military stand point, but from a civilian stand point as well.

This year why not celebrate the holidays in the spirit of for-giving, the spirit of compassion, and the spirit of gratitude for the many freedoms we enjoy. Knowing our military keeps us safe from foriegn shores, let us do our part to keep ourselves safe and united at home.

Welcome all faiths, all peoples, and all opportunities to stand together, pray together, and live peacefully together in these United States of America.

Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Seasons’s Greetings, Happy Holidays

to All and Blessings for a peaceful, safe, and loving holiday season.

Balancing Holiday Demands – Preventing January Hang-Over!

The Holidays bring both excitement and dread, due to the need for balancing holiday demands. Why not enjoy a Courageous Holiday Season and do it differently this year?

Don’t look now but the holidays are upon us! This is no time to begin a diet, start an exercise routine, or ask your employees to work over-time. Unless of course you have already made a conscious decision regarding what is most important to you in planning how to balance your holiday demands!

Holiday Madness

The holiday season is when we expect ourselves to become superhuman. We add to our already too-busy lives more “must dos”. We drive crazed from mall to boutique to baker to Publix or Kroger’s and back again, hoping not to overlook a thing! Flitting from parties to concerts to parades to St. Nick and to church, trying not to miss an event. We shop for family, friends, co-workers, mail carriers, our children’s teachers, neighbors, and other assorted acquaintances. Phew…. I’m exhausted already!

Talk about wasted energy…have you ever bought a gift not knowing for whom it is intended simply because you love it, and the price just can’t be beat? How about those gifts that never get delivered to anyone? Seems they were in the wrong closet or drawer and didn’t get discovered in time. And then there are the “friends” and relatives whom we reluctantly visit, giving us something to complain about after the fact.

At work we take longer lunches, come in late, leave early, and then find ourselves working the weekends to get business accomplished on time. Many people schedule vacation time just before the holidays to lessen the strain of Holiday Madness. After which they realize it may have been wiser to take time off during and after the holidays to relax and savor the experience before returning to work.

The “Mourning” After

And then January arrives, the “OVERS” weighing heavily on our spirit for the dawn of the New Year. Over eating, over spending, over drinking, over tired, over stressed, and over worked, we list our resolutions to repent. We begin the New Year deep in the hole we have created in two short months! Whatever recovery had been accomplished through October, is somewhat like the National Debt. We had made great progress, but suddenly we are worse off than before.

Empowerment to Change

We somehow believe there is nothing we can do about it, it is the nature of the season. Short of creating more hours in the day, and a few extra days in the week, we are doomed to do the same, year after year. Really??? That is one powerful preconceived idea, assumption, or conclusion preventing us from creating a new reality.

What if we consciously choose to do it differently? What if we decide to create a balanced approach to how we spend our “energies”? What if we ”look and see” which people, places, events and experiences give us the most satisfaction and joy during the holidays? Might we learn where we waste our precious time and money on things that are not our highest priority in achieving joyous holidays? In discovering what you truly want on your holiday schedule, you become able to eliminate wasted “energies” and to target accomplishing only those things that matter most, letting things that don’t really matter fade away easily. Hallelujah!

The Truth and Nothing But the Truth

For instance, how much “money energy” will you permit yourself to spend in total this season? What promises might you keep with yourself, to maintain a regular exercise routine across the busy holiday time? How might you sample those wonderful foods, but not over indulge? Might there be a few parties and events you can skip, simply because you don’t want to go? And all those gifts, might there be a few names omitted this year, because they are not as important as some others? Perhaps a card or call will convey your holiday wishes.

Corporate Considerations

Sales organizations take note: closing the final numbers by year end requires scheduling “year end” by December 15th, latest. Planning and budgeting processes often overlook the amount of “down time” during November and December. Be realistic when deciding quotas and project completion deadlines during year end, to set expectations appropriately for senior leaders and their teams. Determine what absolutely must be accomplished, align the resources required, then set the timeline accordingly. Design it to be successful and less stressful for the benefit of all. Put the Happy back into everyone’s Holiday.

Balance: What is the formula?

Creating balance in business or at home requires you to define what balance is for you. I recently wrote a chapter in a book, “Stepping Stones for Success” on “Achieving Balance in and Unbalanced World”, to be published in early January. The essence is that balance is unique to each and everyone of us, and can benefit each of us only when we make a conscious effort to clarify what matters most, then focus on getting only those things done without distraction. For balancing the holidays, you must determine what you want to experience more of, and what you things you want to reduce, to increase your chance of the best holiday season yet.

Knowing in advance whom, what, when and where you wish to spend your available energies (time, money, creativity, enjoyment, physical vitality, and relationships), empowers you to create the holiday experience you desire most.

So what are you waiting for? Begin creating and designing your less-stressed balanced holiday, and easier start to the New Year NOW!

Now that is Courageous Living during the Holiday Season!

Sincere wishes for Happy Holidays to you, your families and loved ones.

May you experience the most “balanced holiday season” of your life!

Best Wishes for All Success in 2013!! Coach Dianne

As we celebrate Thanksgiving with family and friends, let us be grateful for all those who have sacrificed so that we may enjoy our holiday feast. Farmers, migrant workers, transportation drivers, vendors and volunteers may have participated in enabling our meal. Our armed forces who sacrifice for our safety will only celebrate by phone, email, or perhaps not at all. Might you mention your thanks as you say ”Grace”, the traditional offer of gratitude before dinner?

Many of our fellow citizens have been suffering due to disasters such as Sandy left in her wake. Others from the recession loss of wages, jobs, or homes. Or perhaps their families have been stricken with illness or worse yet death of their loved ones. Those remaining must endure, provide support and often sacrifice their own well being for the sake of others.

If you have not already done so, think how you might help with your time, treasure, or talent to help those around you in need. Be a blessing in their lives as perhaps someone else has been a blessing in your own.

Conscious Choice Voting – Your Privilege in America

Democracy – Our Privilege and Responsibility

With every election, local or national, we have the opportunity, responsibility really, to select our government officials. Today more than ever before, it is extremely difficult to sort through the “made for TV” campaign rhetoric to determine who will receive our vote and for what reasons. Is the task so overwhelming, so daunting that we fail to even try? This author would like to suggest it is easier than we are willing to admit in this electronic age. Take a moment to see if you are willing to cast a vote that truly matters to you, and to the world around you as we choose our next President of the United States of America.
First, ask yourself if your reasons for your voting choices of late have been based on a conscious investigation of the facts, ie. (checking the voting records, attendance records, legislative committee work, community involvement track records, etc.) or have they been based upon what you have heard on TV, read in the newspaper, or learned from a mailer to your home?

We live in a time when every vote matters; every decision by a representative has a profound effect, not just locally or nationally, but globally. Decisions that are made at the most local levels of government, in some cases, affect the lives of individuals for decades to come.

Whether the decision involves the environment, war, health care, or education, the results of the outcome have consequences for the universe overall. We can no longer consider only the local effect of our decisions or lack there of. Whether you consider yourself a democrat, a republican, an independent, a green party, or other, the responsibility for conscious choice (educated and informed) remains yours.

Find the Candidates that Support Your Cause

Before researching the candidates, we must first research ourselves. We must review the critical issues and determine exactly where we stand on each. Ask yourself, what really matters to me, my family, my community, my country, and my world with regard to the environment, international relations, health care, education, and fiscal responsibility?

Take a look at the current issues, decide where you stand on each, and write it down. Now you have the basis from which to conduct your investigation and research to determine which of the candidates support your cause. Rather than deciding which of their causes you wish to support, look for those who articulate what you intend to accomplish with your vote.

Measuring how effective a prospective representative might be once in office is based on how effective they were previously. What has been their voting record on the same or similar issues? What have they proposed during the campaign and completed while in office? Have they demonstrated leadership or followed along behind others? You can determine answers to these and other questions by visiting www.gov.com, by calling their office and asking their legislative assistants to answer your questions, or by visiting www.onlinesunshine.com, or www.thomas.loc.gov.

Can you see how voting the “party line” might be an “unconscious” vote, if you have not researched each candidate, their voting records, attendance, and documented stand on those issues that matter to you most?

Making Important Life Decisions

I think we would all agree that those persons running our local, and federal government determines greatly how we live our lives. Knowing our lives matter to us, then we can assume electing government officials is a very important decision.

Let’s look at how we make other “important decisions” in our lives.

When choosing the university or college that your son or daughter may attend, do you research the schools to determine if the criteria established for success are being met? (ie. Cost of education, majors offered, distance from home, etc.)

When purchasing a home, do you not have the home inspected by specialists trained to determine the “truth” about the house?

When recruiting new employees, is there not a thorough background check, resume of past employment researched, testimonies of accomplishments secured, and personal interview conducted?

We normally make important decisions by first determining what is it we are looking for (ie. What really matters about this). Once we are clear about what matters and what aspects must be present, we begin our search to find the best match we can find. We sometimes have to compromise, but do so knowing what we compromised and for what reasons. It is the intelligent, responsible, conscious thing to do to assure our success.

Why not try it on our political process? Now that’s a consciously courageous choice in politics!!

VOTE on November 6, 2012! It is your only voice to determine the outcome.

Driving from Michigan to Florida last week it was like driving through a paint box splashed over each bend and twist in the road! Glorious color from Mother Nature’s palette burst forth from every leaf and tree!

The Magnificent effect of change! As I centered my senses in absorbing the awe-inspiring display, I thought about how very grateful I am for change. How satisfying it is to know “change will come”, there is no way to stop it. I’m blessed to have confidence in welcoming change, to be able to embrace change with grace and to accept ‘what is” as the foundation for “what can be”.

How do you experience change? Most humans do not welcome change but fear it. If change is a constant, those who fear it must live a limited life composed mostly of discomfort. Pema Chodron writes eloquently about change and our ability to master it in her many books concerning thriving in life, rather than surviving in life. “When Things Fall Apart” tells us to notice that “change” brings us to a state of “groundlessness”. It is here in the “undecided, undetermined, unknown” that we find the greatest opportunity to consciously create what will be next.

When we allow ourselves to let go of our preconceived ideas, and our control of specific outcomes, we open the possibility for all things to appear. If we consciously choose to allow our minds to open to the possibilities, our choices increase exponentially. The Law of Attraction returns to us a plethora of options, rather than a precious few, upon which we can move forward.

Are you experiencing a personal or professional change that brings frustration, doubt, and dismay? Take a few moments each day to focus on what you already have that is working well, feeling gratitude for the good. Then think about how you might leverage those “present gifts” to improve what might be coming next.

Like riding through Mother Nature’s autumn palette, every turn brings a new burst of potential and opportunity when our mind is open and willing to see the abundance right here, right now for our choosing.

Embrace the coolness, color, and splendor of the seasonal variations…both in Mother Nature and in your own world today.

The past is over, the future will unfold, but only fully when you acknowledge the your current gifts. It is why “now” is called “the present”, and it is the only opportunity we have to make a conscious choice to Be, Do, or Have something different in our lives. Have you acknowledged your gratitudes today?

Courageously Conscious,

Coach Dianne

“Life moves as water taking the simplest route that presents itself. Fluid and flowing with the motion of love, dancing with the five elements as we return to om.” Andrew Rouse

“Being as fluid and flowing as life itself, I become the observer. I stay conscious of my words, thoughts, and beliefs, aware I am creating every second.”

My Ride – Bianchi Celeste

Each birthday I check in with myself to see if I am living my life “intentionally”. You know what I mean when I say “intentionally”? Wayne Dyer and Deepak Chopra speak and write about the importance of intentions frequently. In essence, it is about making conscious choices on how to spend your time, money, creativity and other energies in support of those people and activities that matter most to you in life. Your intentions to be, to do, or to have accomplished before your life on earth is at end. Your life ambitions, heart desires, dreams, etc. require action on your part to become reality.

Conscious Choice to Manage Life’s Energies

Once you have identified your “inventory” of intentions, it is like your checking account. You must keep making deposits so you can keep making withdrawals. Your “deposits” are time, money, creativity, relationships, physical wellness, and enjoyment. Withdrawals are how you consciously chose to “spend” or plan those “deposits” to accomplish your “intentions”.

Assessing “Magnificent Life Score” So how am I doing?

I have been blessed to live a most magnificent life! I’ve been blessed with wonderful clients, family, and friends, I’ve lived abroad, owned a woman’s golf business, sailed the Caribbean for a year, completed a fasting Vision Quest, competed in mini-Triathalons, lived in 7 states, traveled extensively, and have owned 3 successful businesses, including this one, which allows me to live and work on purpose every day. How great is that?? I’d give myself a 95% satisfaction of Magnificent Life Score. And there is always more to come if I honor my commitment to check in on those intentions annually.

When I checked in on my 2012 intentions, I consciously chose to design a new “juicy game worth playing for”. Not just a new goal but an amazing event that will fulfill 3 life intentions. Physical vitality, honoring father’s life, and giving back to a worthy cause.

The Juicy Game – I decided I would ride a century bike ride for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation to raise $4,000.00 in honor of my late father, Robert T. Cowan, Sr. Wow! Can I really do this? Of course if I think I can, I can!!

FACT: I haven’t ridden 100 miles on a bicycle since 1983 so let the training begin!

Making It Happen: Designing it In to Life

While I have a very busy schedule working with coaching clients, corporate organizations, and running the business as a sole proprietor, I consciously designed my calendar to include training time each week to begin taking small steps towards playing this most amazing and challenging game!

Progress Report:

Starting at riding 30 miles per week in the hilly Michigan terrain, moving to 30 miles three times a week within 3 months. Working on increasing mileage and speed…..

Today I rode 50.4 miles in 4:06. What an incredible feeling to know I am doing what matters most and being responsible to design it into my schedule of events on a daily, weekly, monthly plan so I am ready to ride with thousands of others for a worthy cause next year! Yoooohoooo! It is just the BEST!

What is your Most Magnificent Life Score??

What is it that you have been saying “no” to? What desires have you denied? Which people and/or places have you longed to spend more time enjoying?

Life has a way of slipping past. Our health or the health of loved ones can change without warning. How many times have you heard about someone who recently retired and then became ill preventing them from “living the good life” they had planned? Had they chosen consciously to not wait for retirement to begin enjoying life, there may have been more happiness and satisfaction in the end.

Choosing to Be Present in The Present Moment

When I rode today in the beauty of nature as She changes from warm green to chilly reds and golds, I felt grateful for my strength, my courage, and my inspiration to keep going, knowing when I cross the finish line at 100 miles in one ride, I will have lived another aspect of my most courageous and magnificent life! The best part is, I consciously chose to play the juicy game, all in, no matter what..because I am living my life intentionally! Walking the Talk of Conscious Choice, Balance and Courageous Living.

Are you ready to play your next Most Juicy Game?

So come on! Go ahead! Decide what it is you really want to do, and GO do it! One small sweet step at a time, you will be so very glad you did!

Now that’s consciously choosing to Live Your Most Magnificent and Courageous Life!!

Stay tuned to follow my progress here, and don’t forget to leave a comment or question below.

Hi there, I’m Coach Dianne Kipp. I’ve been coaching people now for 7 years professionally, but I feel as though I have been a coach most of my life. Long before the term “coach” was used to describe anything but athletic or sports related support, I was a coach. As the oldest of 4, and being “Mom” while she worked, I coached my siblings in getting along, keeping promises to Mom, and enduring some of life’s challenges.

As I think of the many coaching experiences in my life, I realize I was given the opportunity to coach, because I took the opportunity to lead. Whether at home with siblings, in college with faculty and students, at the patients’ bedside, or in a corporate board room, I held a vision that we could live more satisfying lives if we worked together to clarify and consciously choose what we wanted to accomplish using our available energies (time, money, creativity, etc.). I had the privilege to organize, coordinate, and facilitate team building, break through thinking, paradigm shifting and envisioning the future. As a result, our leadership team surpassed our envisioned horizons, because we were willing to consciously choose our actions to successfully accomplish our goals.

Upon leaving the corporate environment in search of my own “life purpose” I actually developed the strategy for a coaching business thirteen years before I ever entered coach training at the Academy for Coaching Excellence! My life purpose was in my heart, but needed to be “unearthed”. After experiencing a divorce from a marriage of 20 years, I was lost. Life seemed dark, nothing seemed to really matter anymore, I felt alone, confused, and not very confident about my future. Working with a personal growth counselor, I began to discover “life after divorce” and the self-designed new Dianne Kipp!

A Profound Experience! I attended a 4 day workshop called “Life In Transition” hosted at American University in Pennsylvania. It was an incredible experience in which I discovered and wrote my life purpose statement: “To be “a beacon of strength, a light source, connecting myself and others to our self-truths, while embracing Mother Nature and God’s Great Out of Doors”, the concept for Follow Your Heart Journeys was here coined but not started for 13 more years. Upon completion of the weekend, I resigned my corporate position immediately, not knowing for sure what would be next, but knowing there was something more for me to contribute to life.

My post-corporate life was an amazing array of adventure and success. Once in touch with my authentic passions, I experimented with saying “Yes” to the Universe, and found myself starting a women’s golf company “Golf Options for Women”, a sailing and snorkeling business “Oh Be Joyful Sailing” and finally was “called” to attend formal training as an ontological coach. Every day someone asked me on the sailing charters in the Caribbean, “How did you know this is what you wanted to do, and how did you make it happen?”. I realized it was time to get on with my dream of “guiding others to make the most of their lives”. I came back to the US to begin “coaching” in earnest, and attended ontological coach training to lead individuals and organizations in the fulfillment of their dreams and goals. Follow Your Heart Journeys & Dianne M. Kipp & Associates were launched to provide Life and Executive Coaching and Awesome Retreats in 2005 and have been growing stronger ever since!

I am blessed to be doing what some call “God’s work”. At a time when we are questioning our very existence, it is a comfort to realize we are, each and everyone of us, a unique and wonderful individual wanting to live a life that matters, and wanting to make a unique contribution while we are here. It is an awesome experience to witness such remarkable transformations in the lives of those I coach, I am humbled and so grateful for the opportunity.

What does coaching mean to me? It is truly my greatest reward. It fulfills my life purpose statement of “I am a Beacon of Strength, a Light Source, connecting myself and others to their self-truths and their conscious choice to live to their highest and best”. It means “Being” coach 24-7, walking the talk in my own life .

My message to you is this: Don’t let your dreams and desires lay dormant….make the conscious choice to get clear and get going on it NOW.

ASK YOURSELF: What do you want to be remembered for as you depart this life? Do you know what your true life intentions are? If you are not working on getting those accomplished, you might be running out of time.

Consciously Look and See. Are there things you want to do, places you want to go, and relationships you want to improve? Be courageous, take the time to discover what it is that will give you satisfaction and happiness in your life. We never know when a crisis can change our lives forever. Don’t wait for the drama, get busy consciously choosing to design your most magnificent life now.

What can you expect to experience when working with an ontological coach? You will discover clarity about your most authentic self, and how to make ‘present-moment conscious choices’ to take action to achieve your most important life intentions, and how to align your resources towards what you truly want to experience in your life, your profession, and your relationships. You will gain a partner who is there with you every step of the way…moving you forward, cheering you on, and celebrating your success.

You will Find Out: You do have your own answers, your own dreams are within your heart. All you need is someone to ask the right questions, to be your confident, your catalyst, your cheerleader and your guide. Keeping you attached to your dream, following your heart, and consciously creating a new reality.

Life is short, Live it Well!

Namaste!

Quick Question to help you decide:

Is your life going perfectly and is your heart singing with joy about your relationships?

If the answer is Yes, stop reading here and keep doing whatever it is you are doing, because obviously it works for you! Celebrate it and give thanks regularly, congratulations on designing the life you want.

For those who answered No, there might be a few things that could be improved or changed in your life to increase your “joy factor”.

Begin by asking yourself, If I could have all the money, time, and resources necessary,

What would I be doing?

What would I have?

And where would I be?

Notice if when you begin to write down your “dream list” if there are voices inside that say something like “you can’t do that, or that will never work”.

It is those exact conversations we have with ourselves that stop us from doing what really matters to us in our lifetime.

As the Coach, it is my job to help you see what the conversation is, and then help you see how to stay focused on what you really want to have happen.

I invite you to send in a question regarding a situation you are currently “stuck” with, and I will write a response and ask you a few questions to assist you in seeing how you might “shift” your experience.

An example of such a question follows.

Jane is a 45 year old woman who has always wanted to learn how to play the piano. She has two children still at home, works a full time job, and finds she has no time to even take a walk after work. She explains that she is overwhelmed by everything she has to do, and cannot see how she could ever take piano lessons.

When asked to say how she experiences “overwhelmed”, Jane realizes it is like a gigantic cloud of things to do that hang over her all day right up until bed time. She is able to see that her energy goes really low and tiredness sets in.

When asked how she experiences “learning to play the piano” she smiles and says it is like floating on a cloud”. So what is more interesting, overwhelmed and tired, or floating on a cloud?

After seeing that her dream to play piano really does make her heart sing, she gets energized to look at what might she do differently in her current schedule of things to begin bringing that dream to life, in real time.

Jane has been taking piano lessons now for six months, and reports a heightened sense of satisfaction in her life, though she still works full time, and still has two children at home.

The difference is that Jane made a conscious choice to stop ignoring her dream and to do something about it.

When we live our lives in concert with who we really are in our hearts, and according to our life’s intentions, we take back our power of how to spend our energies, and experience harmony satisfaction and joy.

Take a look and see, what would you like to be doing differently? Is it about your work, your relationships, or your dreams? Make your comments below and let’s get started!

We all have something that we are choosing unconsciously to do against our own dreams. Let’s see how Coach can help you see what really matters to you, so you can get busy doing it, with clarity, focus, ease and grace. Now that’s Courageous!

Namaste’ Coach Dianne Kipp

The most powerful aspect of coaching is discovering your own truth. Personally, when I can “see” the facts I can discern when “emotion and stories” are interfering with my ability to consciously choose my best next step. It can also help me see when I might be defending myself for the sake of “being right”. Ever notice how sometimes you find yourself making statements to justify an idea, only to realize you are not sure the statements are based in fact? It happens to all of us in the heat of debate, and usually makes matters worse than better. Learning how to make conscious choices sans emotion gives us the opportunity to move towards what we want most, with confidence, clarity and ease.

Try asking yourself these basic questions when you are feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or undecided.

The key is to ask yourself the question, and keep looking inside for the answer. Whatever pops into your mind is part of the answer.

1. What is the absolute worse part for you?

2. What do you hate or dislike most about it?

3. Keep going, keep asking what is worst and what do you really hate about the idea.

Examples might be: (but you may have your own that occur to you as you think about your answer)

I will feel trapped

I don’t want to have the responsibility

I want to be free

something will change

it costs too much money, etc.

someone else won’t like it

4. Now, look at what you discovered was there, and see if it is based in current fact, or in an old idea that is no longer true.

5. Ask if it is still true for you, and if so, is it still OK for it to be true. This lets you see your own truth about it, rather than living with an old idea. If it is still true and you’re OK with it, so be it. Now you know the reason rather than “I don’t know”.

6. If there is something about it you want to change or share, what would that be?

7. Are you willing to make the change or have the conversation? If so, when would you like to do it?

8. Give yourself a date by which to complete the “action”. (this step just helps you move forward with something if it is really what you want to do)

9. The last questions have to do with relationships. Ask yourself these questions, answering either Yes or No. There is not an option for “maybe”, and your heart will give you the truth if you listen.

A. Is this person “it” for you? Meaning “rest of your life” “it for you”? Yes or No

B. If yes, great! Isn’t it really awesome to know you are sure?

C. If no, and you feel it, and you want to keep looking for someone else, you should let the person know, to be compassionate and fully truthful so they can decide what they want to do about it. It may be perfectly ok with them, and it may not be ok. Your honesty lets them decide. Not easy, but truly the kindest thing you can do for both of you, so you can both pursue what you truly want in your life.

Finding your self-truth is a conscious choice, now that’s Courageous!!
